The licence
PackPilot is distributed through the Apple App Store and is licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement — the same agreement you accept when you download any App Store app that doesn't supply custom terms. PackPilot does not supply custom terms.

In plain terms: you get a non-transferable licence to use PackPilot on Apple devices you own or control, for personal or internal business use. Where anything below and Apple's agreement disagree, Apple's agreement governs.
Plans are estimates — check before you load
PackPilot's measurements and packing plans are estimates produced from the dimensions and constraints you give it. AR scans are typically accurate to within 5–10%. You are responsible for confirming that items actually fit, that loads are safe and secure, and that nothing you pack is damaged, obstructing your view, or unsafe to transport. PackPilot is a planning aid, not a safety system.
Always sanity-check dimensions in the confirmation sheet before saving, and don't force an item because a plan said it would fit. See the known limitations for the specific cases where the solver's model differs from physical reality.
Purchases and refunds
PackPilot is free to download. Pro is available two ways, both processed by Apple and tied to your Apple ID:
- Pro Lifetime — a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase for permanent access. It can be restored on any device signed in with the same Apple ID. It does not renew.
- 30-Day Project Pass — a non-renewing subscription that supplies 30 days of Pro access. It ends automatically at the end of the 30 days and does not charge again; there is no auto-renewal to cancel. It can be restored while its 30-day access period is still active.
Live Scan is an entitlement included with either purchase; there is no separate Live Scan product. Planned launch pricing is not yet live — the App Store shows the authoritative localized price at checkout, and prices may vary by region.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com or via Apple Support.
No warranty
PackPilot is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't warrant that it will be error-free, that AR tracking will succeed in every environment, or that a plan will be optimal.
Community Contributed
Community Contributed is an optional, opt-in feature that lets you share the measurements of a space or item you scanned so other PackPilot users can benefit from them. The terms in this section apply only if you choose to use it. The privacy policy describes exactly what a submission contains and confirms it includes no photos, no location, no free-typed text, and no personal identifiers.
The permission you give us. When you share a scan, you give PackPilot a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, and irrevocable permission to use the dimensional data in that submission — the measurements, the obstruction shapes, the opening size, and the structured identity you selected. That permission lets us combine your submission with other people's scans of the same thing, publish the combined result in the community catalog, include it in the app, and let other users copy and use it. You are not transferring ownership of anything, and you are not being paid. You confirm that the measurements are your own scan and that sharing them does not break any agreement or law that applies to you. Because approved submissions are combined with others and shipped to everyone, the permission for a published contribution continues even after you turn the feature off — see takedown below for how we stop distributing it.
Community data comes with no warranty.
Community Contributed entries are measurements contributed by other users. They are not manufacturer specifications and we do not check them against the real object. A Community Contributed entry can be wrong — someone may have scanned carelessly, picked the wrong model, or measured a different version of the same vehicle. The app shows how many scans an entry is based on and warns you when those scans disagree. Use Community Contributed entries at your own risk, and always confirm the real space before you rely on the numbers. Treat them as a starting point, never as a guarantee that something will fit.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, community-contributed data is provided "as is," and we make no warranty about its accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose.
Taking down a submission. If you shared a scan and want it removed, email feedback@packpilot.io with the car or item and roughly when you sent it, or the device id shown on the Community Contributed screen in the app. We will remove your submission and recompute any entry it fed into. We can stop distributing your contribution, but we cannot recall copies that other users have already downloaded. If you believe a Community Contributed entry infringes your rights or is otherwise objectionable, email the same address and we will review it and remove it where appropriate.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of your use of PackPilot is limited to the amount you actually paid for it — which is nothing for the free version, or the one-time Pro price if you bought it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including damage to packed goods, vehicles, or property, and we are not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on a community-contributed template.
Nothing here limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
Your data
The packs, spaces, and items you create stay on your device. There are no accounts for private packs. The one thing that leaves your device is a Community Contributed submission you choose to share. The privacy policy is the authoritative description of what is stored and what — only if you opt in — is sent.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Where a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California, and you and we each consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
If you live outside the United States, this does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your own country, and it does not limit your right to bring a claim where those laws allow it. Nothing here affects Apple's own agreement with you, which governs your use of the App Store.
Changes
We may update this page. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top changes. Continued use of PackPilot after a change means you accept the updated version.
